09 Jul, 2010

Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Imran Khan has said that he would soon challenge result of the by-election of PP-160 Lahore, as he had sufficient rigging's proof. He stated this while addressing a press conference here at the party secretariat on Thursday. Imran said that the PML-N has fully used official machinery to manipulate the elections.
He alleged that police and other law enforcement agencies were widely used in the election rigging and police polled bogus vote in favour of the PML-N candidate. He said that he would challenge the election result in the Election Commission and if it did not take an appropriate action he would approach to the Supreme Court as a last resort.
Imran demanded of the government to form an independent Election Commission and introduce a new electoral system under the supervision of Nadra and check the bogus votes. PTI chairman accused PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif of keeping his wealth out of country and asked him to bring it back to the country and give taxes to the government. He lamented that the previous and present rulers have kept their wealth in other countries and give them tax and Pakistan is passing through a critical financial crisis.
