'Casting false aspersions a cowardly act of Punjab government'

Pakistan Muslim League-Q Central Leader, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has said casting false aspersions on the important and sensitive national institutions including Pakistan army in order to cover up their own criminal negligence is a cowardly and shameful act of the Punjab government.
Talking to a delegation of PML-Q Lawyers Wing on Thursday Elahi said, "N-League's Punjab government should be held responsible for faulty investigation, half hearted prosecution and provision of insufficient evidence resulting in the recent court releases of individuals allegedly involved in heinous terrorist crimes in the province." He said the Public Prosecution Department Punjab, which was set up by the PML government for provision of justice to the common man, is being abusively used by the rulers to conceal their sins.
Elahi condemned the Punjab rulers' shameful use of the Public Prosecution Department Punjab for maligning the army and intelligence agencies in connection with release of the alleged terrorists. He rejected the Public Prosecution Department Punjab's purported version as politically motivated, baseless and fabricated.
Elahi further said that the Sharifs were once again back to their old game of targeting national institutions for their petty political gains but the nation had seen their true face in the last two and a half years and this time would not allow them to tarnish the image of institutions.
Flaying the Public Prosecution Department Punjab's comments further, he said that the nation had the right to know that why once the alleged terrorists were apprehended the N-League government adopted a soft approach in their prosecution enabling them to go scot-free.
He said that the nation also wanted to know that why despite intelligence reports of expected terrorist attacks on Manawan Police Training Centre, Moon Market, Model Town and Data Darbar in Lahore the Punjab rulers waited for the tragic incidents to take place.
