Soyabean futures rose in thin trading at the Chicago Board of Trade early on Thursday, hitting the $10 a bushel level for the first time since April 27 amid tight cash supplies and a lack of deliveries on the expiring contract, traders said.
Wheat futures also rose, continuing its rally amid concerns about hot weather stressing the crop in Europe, Australia and China. At 9:37 am CDT, (1437 GMT), CBOT July soyabeans were up 7 cents at $10.00 a bushel. CBOT September wheat gained 9 cents to $5.39-1/2 a bushel.
