PU signs four MoUs with Chinese university

Vice-Chancellor Punjab University, Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran has said the varsity has so far signed 84 Memorandum Of Understanding (MoUs) with the leading universities both within and outside the country, out of which four MoUs have been signed with the Chinese universities of Sichuan, Peking, Wuhan and Academy of Social Sciences.
He was talking to a six-member Chinese delegation headed by Wang XU of Peking University. Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr Jamil Anwar Chaudhry, Registrar, Dr Muhammad Naeem Khan, Treasurer, Dr Uzma Ikram, Director External Linkages, Maria Maldonado, Dean Faculty of Social & Behavioural Sciences, Dr Mughees-ud-Din Sheikh and Director ICS, Dr Ahsan Akhtar Naz were also present.
Briefing the visiting delegation about the history of Punjab University, academic and research pursuits as well as accomplishments, Dr Kamran said the varsity is making a commendable contribution in catering to the higher education needs of young graduates from across the country and is a leading provider of qualified and trained human resources to the entire nation.
The Vice-Chancellor also presented gifts of his books to the visiting Chinese media persons. Later, the delegation members visited the varsity Main Library and also met with the faculty and students of Institute of Communication Studies.
