An election tribunal headed by a judge of the Lahore High Court (LHC) called report by August 02, from higher education commission (HEC) about the qualification of PML-N MPA, Ghulam Nizam-ud-Din Sialvi. The tribunal issued the directions, while hearing an election petition of Ali Raza who had lost election as an independent candidate against Sialvi from PP-37 Sargodha.
Ali Raza had alleged in his petition that Sialvi obtained a fake degree from deeni madrassa Faizul Aloom situated in Karachi. He, therefore, prayed to the court to disqualify respondent MPA.
