Since Pakistan and the US have mutually fallen into the same pedestal of global war on terror and apparently the objectives of both the states seem similar, which is not an absolute reality. Pakistan has a lot many other sensitive domestic concerns, a dialogue with the US again and again over the same issues of security concerns are merely the waste of time.
The vital interests of the US, conducting this dialogue, are crystal clear, that the US wants its influence in Afghanistan and Pakistan even after its withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2011. Use of force is not the solution to the problems. Even Mike Mullen, US chief of staff, said that the military option should not be used even as a last resort against Taliban. Diplomacy is the tool to resolve this ongoing war against terrorism.
The United Nations Security Council, in the resolution of 1378, clearly mentioned that the attack on Afghanistan is unilateral decision of the United States of America and the UN Security Council has not encouraged this act of use of force at any point. Hence, the US would be responsible for each reparation. Only Britain supported the US stance over invasion of Afghanistan. Pakistan has performed all the rituals of being an ally of the US, now it's right time to grow up as responsible state, fighting for the sovereignty and territorial integrity.
