Construction work for boys' hostel at Sindh University begins

The construction work for boys hostel at the cost of Rs 49.981 million began here at the Sindh University on Wednesday. The Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Professor Nazir A.Mughal laid the foundation stone at the site behind Shaheed Benazir Bhutto International Hostel at the campus.
The Pro-Vice Chancellors, Deans of the Faculties, heads of the teaching institutes and departments, officers and employees of the University attended the foundation stone laying ceremony. The funds for the construction of boys' hostel were approved by the Sindh government's education and literacy department while the construction will be completed within one year time.
The hostel would be constructed at 25480 sqf area with 40 rooms with 3 bed rooms and accommodation would be made available to 120 students with facilities of dining hall, T.V lounge, prayer hall, common room, indoor games hall, store, office record room, garage and guard room and also shops. The Vice Chancellor University of Sindh on this occasion said that modern facilities would be provided to the youth who will get hostel accommodation. He said that special attention will be paid to provide quality of service in hostels to the students and added that repair work of all hostels would be furnished.
