A four-member delegation of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) Re-Accreditation Wednesday arrived at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro campus on a three-day visit. The delegation met Professor Mohammad Aslam Uqaili, Pro Vice-Chancellor MUET and apprised him about the aim and objectives of the visit.
They visited laboratories of bio medical engineering and telecommunication engineering departments and expressed satisfaction on the working of these. The delegates also visited library and online information centre, where they were briefed about books, online services and facilities for students. During visit to the examination branch, Controller of Examination informed the delegates about the examination process and other services, based on PEC Rules and regulations, being provided to the students.
Later, the delegation met Professor Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan Rajput Vice Chancellor MUET, who had arrived from a visit to Australia. Professor Mohammad Aslam Uqaili thanked the delegation for their visit and told them that the rules and regulations of PEC are being given priority to setting up modern laboratories in the varsity. Dr Abdul Karim Baloch, Dean Faculty of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering, Ashfaque Ahmed Isani Director Planning, Dr Bhawani Shankar Chaudhary and Dr Aftab Memon also accompanied the delegation during the visit.
