Copper pared losses in London and Shanghai on Thursday, supported by record Chinese refined copper output in June and reassuring economic growth and inflation data. Benchmark third-month Shanghai copper ended flat on the day at 53,170 yuan per tonne, in the middle of the day's 1,000 yuan range.
