Security plan for Amman Car Rally finalised

National Highway and Motorway Police (NH&MP) has finalised a comprehensive security plan to ensure safe and uninterrupted passage to "Islamabad-Kalam Amman Car Rally". The rally will start from Islamabad, join G.T Road from Motorway Chowk Rawalpindi, and leave it at Nowshehra. Motorway police will ensure safe and uninterrupted passage to the rally on G.T. Road, said Dr Wasim Kausar, Inspector General NH&MP, here Thursday.
Apprising about the security plan in this regard, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) NH&MP N-5 North Abbas Hussain Malik said in compliance with the directions of the IG, NH&MP N-5 North would ensure safe passage to the participants of Islamabad - Kalam Amman Rally on G.T. Road.
In this regard, SSP Motorway Police Khairabad Sector Muhammad Saeed Wazir would directly monitor arrangements to ensure free flow of traffic during the rally. Directions in this regard have also been circulated to DSP Motorway Police Taxila, DSP Motorway Police Headquarters Kamra and DSP Motorway Police Nowshera. Moreover, SSP Saeed Wazir is in close liaison with the local police of Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Attock and Nowshera to make the arrangements effective, he maintained.
The DIG said NH&MP would provide guidance and assistance to the participants and members of the organising committee, within the available resources, to make the event a success. For the purpose, extra police personnel and patrolling mobiles will be provided on GT Road at karma sector to make the movement uninterrupted and avoid possible inconvenience, especially at various check points of the region.-PR
