Three more fall prey to targeted killings

At least three more people have fallen prey to targeted killings in the recent wave of violence across the city on Monday, police said. An activist of Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) was killed in Orangi Town and another targeted in Korangi. And a 22-year-old youth was killed in Garden area.
A 23-year-old Taiyab Siddiqui son of Maulana Shahid Siddiqui, resident of Tauheed Colony, Block-II, Sector 11, was waiting for bus near sector 11 1/2 when two armed motorcyclists arrived on the scene and shot a single gunfire in his head. Sources in Iqbal Market police station told Business Recorder that the victim was the activist of ASWJ. Sources said no case have been registered against anyone till our going to press.
In another incident, a man was killed while his friend was injured when two armed motorcyclists targeted them outside a motorcycle mechanic shop in Garden West. Rashid Baloch, 23, son of Ghulam Nabi and his friend Lal Khan were sitting outside a motorcycle shop when two armed men on motorcycle arrived there and sprayed bullets on them. Rashid died on way to hospital while his friend was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for treatment.
In yet another incident, a 22-year-old man was shot dead by unknown armed men near 100 Quarters, Korangi. The deceased was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for an autopsy. Station House Officer (SHO Zaman Town said the police have recovered a CNIC card from him. He was identified as Muhammad Saeed son of Basheer Ahmed. The victim was the resident of sector 5, A/2, Karachi. The body was shifted to Edhi Morgue for burial.
