Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC), Khawaja Muhammad Sharif here Tuesday took suo motu notice of murder of two Christian brothers in Faisalabad, who were accused in a blasphemy case. Chief Justice directed regional police officer, Faisalabad to appear before the court on Wednesday (today) with complete record of the case.
Chief Justice also directed advocate general Punjab to appear and assist the court in the matter. Chief Justice took suo motu notice on a news in which it was reported that Christian brothers namely Rashid Emanuel and Sajid Emanuel, accused of writing blasphemous pamphlets, were shot dead when they came out of the court of a magistrate in police custody at Faisalabad. They were rushed to the hospital but both succumbed to the injuries.
