HRW wheat bids steady

Cash bids for hard red winter wheat in the US Plains were steady on Friday, even as farmer selling continued strong amid high futures prices. Kansas City Board of Trade benchmark September wheat ended Thursday up 10-1/4 cents at $6.11-3/4, though the market was seen setting back on pre-weekend profit-taking Friday.
Protein premiums for railcar wheat to and through Kansas City were steady after a recent series of declines. Mill pipelines and elevators were well stocked. Some locations were reporting they were needing to store wheat on the ground because of lack of space.
