Buffalos, crows, brown fields, pink sky specially sunset always compels me to paint and express my love for nature and I pour my passion into these subjects and return as 'they become me'," explains Mughees about his painting experience.
Mughees landscapes in oils on canvas show broad area of sky and an equally broad plain foreground or river, as in the painting 'Sunset and Ravi' and 'Buffalo'. His landscapes make you feel life as it is going on in a certain set pattern, giving viewers an opportunity to peep into the way of life in rural areas. Durre Waseem has exposed another angle of nature full of life the hustle and bustle of city, and also emptiness of surroundings. The artists work show an interplay of light and shadow, which along with colours gives an impressive look and is refreshing to the viewers. The remarkable brush strokes and detail in the work enhanced by good colour sense is laudable.
Her paintings subjects moves around the life and the scenes and objects tells the story behind the scenes. She seems to be inspired by the sights and sounds around her as well as inside her.
