NCSW policy dialogue at Karachi

The National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW) is holding a policy dialogue in Karachi on July 27 on Women's Political Participation at the national, provincial and local levels and the impediments faced by them in performing their roles at each level of governance.
An announcement said that during the dialogue to be participated by the major stakeholders including the elected representative, senior government officials, members of the civil society and the media the NCSW will share with them the results of the studies undertaken by the Commission recently on Gender Review of Political Framework for Women's Political Participation and the impact of the Local Bodies System on Women in Pakistan including challenges faced by them in performing their roles. It said that the basic purpose of the dialogue is to enhance the spectrum of the policy review and make it more authentic.
