The Ministry of Youth Affairs (MOYA) will organize a special female youth camp in 'See Pakistan' project from July 27 to August 2. Federal Minister for Youth Affairs Shahid Hussain Bhutto told APP on Sunday that the programme was aimed at facilitating the female youths to share their experiences and see beautiful land, historical places and culture of different parts of the country.
"During the camp different activities like cultural night, games, competition on different topics etc would be organised," he said. Around 100 participants of the camp would be taken to different cities including Murree and Lahore. The minister said that the ministry had already arranged two special programmes for male youths of FATA (Federally Administered Tribal Areas) and Balochistan at Islamabad and Lahore.
"Total 11 programmes have been organised in which 752 youths from all over the country, AJK, and FATA participated," Shahid Bhutto said. The minister said the ministry had started several projects to create opportunities for the youths. He said that the priority of the ministry was to provide opportunities to the youths so that they can have exposure to other parts of country's culture. He said that these programme not only benefit urban youth, but also brings focus on youth of rural areas including AJK, FATA and Swat. The registration of the participants will start at Islamabad Club here on Monday. He said that the National Volunteer Movement (NVM) is extending its activities to universities. It has established an NVM Club at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Taxila, in order to promote volunteerism among the youth.
