More destruction feared as flood approaches Naseerabad, Jafferabad

Floodwater affected various areas in Punjab and Balochistan as the flood wave headed towards Naseerabad and Jafferabad. Another town in Rajanpur came under water as the embankment in the area breached, while the flood approached Barasabad routed through Fazilpur from Mount Suleman, a private news channel reported.
Under relief efforts, body of a seven-year old, out of 40 people that went missing adrift the flood, was recovered from a mountainous area, raising the number of deceased to 19, while the search for 11 more missing persons is on. The flood-affected areas remained cut off on fourth consecutive day. The flood triggering Saturday pulled down all huts and mud houses in Fazilpur's Chak Ahmadani, leaving people without shelter under open skies.
People had to survive under open skies in Barkhan and Kohlu, where they were facing hardships owing to shortage of medicines, potable water and eatables.
