Much to everyone's disappointment, WhatsApp service currently shut down all of a sudden across the world, however, the service is now being gradually restored.
Due to a server problem resulting in the breakdown of the app, people are unable to send or receive messages. Just as the user gets into a chat, the app displays a ‘connecting’ text and it remains the same making the messages unable to get delivered.
Even the shutting and reopening of the application does not help as it still shows the connecting message. The shutdown was reported all over the world. WhatsApp Web, the desktop connecting of the application too, is broken down.
However, the Facebook-owned app is currently working to restore its services and the inconvenience caused by it. WhatsApp developers believe that the app was going through some technical problems resulting in the breakdown.
The app displayed a notice under the ‘help’ section that read, “Our service is experiencing a problem right now. We are working on it and hope to restore the functionality shortly.”
