Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, Chairman Parliamentary Kashmir Committee on Friday said India cannot keep Kashmiris as slaves for long time and will have to give them right to self-determination. In a statement, the Chairman Kashmir Committee said Kashmiris are struggling for their right cause since 1947 which was also supported by the United Nations in its resolutions but still India is out to crush the aspirations of Kashmiris.
He maintained that even after its all out efforts to curb the just struggle for independence, India has miserably failed to overcome Kashmiris' sentiments. Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman condemned the repressive measures by India to crush the freedom movement in the Occupied Kashmir and said recently 15 people have been killed and thousands were put behind the bars who were waging peaceful protest against the unlawful Indian occupation. He urged India to see the writing of the wall as the time has come to settle the Kashmir issue instead of killing Kashmiris.
