Government urged to declare Sehwan Sharif as 'Model City'

Pakistan Intellectual Forum (PIF) on Sunday appealed to the government to declare Sehwan Sharif as "Model City" and direct the Auqaf Department of Sindh to spend 60 percent of the money donated by the devotees as "Nazrana" in the social, cultural and infrastructure development of the city.
A literary session was held on Sunday under the auspices of PIF, Islamabad, in connection with the 758th Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, which is in full swing in Sehwan Shareef, Sindh, nowadays.
Islamabad-based writers and intellectuals paying tribute to the guardian of universal peace, Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar of Sindh said that he was a missionary of Islam and he preached the very essence of Islam which was love for God, love for God's Prophet and his family, love for the friends of God and love for each fellow human being.
"The government of Sindh should come forward and get all his masterpieces taught in Iran and other Central Asain Republics, translated into Sindhi and other Pakistani languages so as to popularise his intellect and wisdom" he opined.
Hashim Abro of Pakistan Intellectual Forum ( PIF) recited Shahbaz Qalandar's famous Persian verses in which he has shown his love and honour for Hazart Ali ( A.S), a rare intellectual and scholar of humanity and the same verses which are engraved on his shrine.
