Fehmida establishes Speaker's Relief Fund

Dr Fehmida Mirza, Speaker, National Assembly has established Speaker's Relief Fund in Allied Bank, Parliament House Branch to collect funds to facilitate the affectees of the devastated floods triggered by torrential rains in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.
The Speaker has appealed to the Parliamentarians and affluent people to generously donate in the Speaker's Relief Fund Account No 1781-9, Allied Bank,, Parliament House, Islamabad She directed the National Assembly Secretariat to immediately dispatch water, tents, medicines, edible items and clothes to the flood affectees of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. The Relief items have been arranged out of the donations collected in Speaker's Relief Fund and by the Women Parliamentary Caucus.
The Speaker has also directed the Monitoring Committee comprising Parliamentarians to oversee the Relief Activities. She has asked the Parliamentarians to personally visit the effected areas and meet the affectees to make them feel that they have not been left out in their predicament.-PR
