Flood relief camps set up for animals

The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) sent a delegation of volunteer students along with teachers to set up relief camps for extending help to the flood effectees. This arrangement was made by UVAS volunteers in collaboration with Punjab Livestock department. The student's delegation was headed by chairman department of Clinical Medicine and Surgery Professor Dr Muhammad Khan.
Almost 48 volunteer veterinarians would be doing job of treating sick animals and vaccination of normal animals. The UVAS flood relief camps were established in most devastated districts of Southern Punjab including Mianwali and Muzaffargrah under the guidelines of Punjab Livestock department. The UVAS's vice-chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Nawaz in pursuance of the Chief Minister Punjab Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif's directions directed all concerned to remain alert to deal with any emergency situation.
