Partly Facetious: Floods are not Zardari's fault

06 Aug, 2010

"Floods have devastated the lives of millions."
"And if you are going to blame President Zardari then don't as the floods are not his fault."
"I agree wholeheartedly and his response for whatever reason has raised the ire of the entire world but that's not what I want to talk about today."
"You want to focus on the plight of the victims."
"No I want to focus on government response. For Gilani to visit a model non-existent camp was pathetic."
"He didn't know."
"I agree, so he needs to take someone to task for this."
"Gilani should follow the example of his party leader."
"He did to some extent as his entourage did consist of at least one well coifed federal minister namely Raja Parvez Ashraf."
"That not what I meant. I meant he should have only taken the official media with him, that way disturbing stories are more difficult to reach the public."
"Difficult mind, not impossible."
"OK but the foreign media is against democracy in our country which is why they are attacking the President's current two nation tour."
"I am not going to dignify that standard normal Zardi response with my response."
"One more thing I would like to mention to my august leaders."
"What?"
"It's the choice of clothes. The Prime Minister should have followed the Raja example rather than the President's. A PM cannot wear a casual trouser and shirt with a jacket and rather large sunglasses to visit the flood affected..."
"Hey the large sunglasses maybe because he thinks it makes his face look small."
"Don't be facetious. He needs smaller ones to match his moustache."
"I give up and the President cannot be casually dressed, actually he was dressed similarly upon arrival in the UK to what the PM was wearing except the President was wearing jeans though they looked kind of slept in..."
"He is travelling."
"It's less than an hour's flight from Paris to London."
"Anyway they showed the President shaking hands with airport security and I propose that somebody in our High Commission be fired."
"Where did that come from?"
"Why couldn't they get twenty or thirty people to shake the President's hand for better footage?"
