Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Chief, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has called upon his party activists to play their role for the rehabilitation of flood affectees. He said this while talking to the Secretary General PML-N Kissan Wing, Asghar Ali Chaudhry who called on him Friday.
Nawaz assured flood victims that they would not be left alone in this hour of need. He asked the PML-N activists to arrange food items, medicines and lodging for the flood affectees. On the occasion, Asghar presented a cheque of Rs 200,000 to PML-N Quaid in the party's relief fund for the flood affectees.
It may be noted that the PML-N Quaid has formed a committee under the chairmanship of PML-N MNA Muhammad Pervaiz Malik to co-ordinate all the matters relating to ongoing floods. Malik is also collecting funds for the flood affectees. Meanwhile, Central Secretary General PML-N Overseas, Sheikh Kaiser Mehmood has asked the office-bearers of PML-N overseas to give donations in the party's fund generously for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of flood-affected people.
He informed them that the whole country is in the grip of floods. Hundreds of people have died and thousands of people have become homeless. Floods might bring more destruction in the country. These flood-affected people have been waiting for help in a miserable condition. They need immediate attention and for reconstruction and rehabilitation.
