ICE cocoa slid over 4 percent early on Friday, dragging Liffe cocoa with it, as funds sold and dealers noted Ivory Coast's production outlook was better than expected. Cocoa fell as funds exited positions, with Liffe hitting a nine-month low and slipping further away from the 32-year high of 2,465 pounds a tonne reached last month.
ICE December cocoa traded $99 lower at $3,039 per tonne. October raw sugar on ICE traded up 0.01 cent at 18.30 cents a lb, after hitting a 4-1/2 month peak of 19.88 cents a lb on Monday. ICE December arabicas traded down 1.10 cent at $1.6995 a lb.
