Setting up of 'Prime Minister Flood Relief Fund 2010' notified

The Ministry of Finance has notified the establishment/opening of 'Prime Ministers Flood Relief Funds 2010' with immediate effect for providing relief to the people for the flood affectees in the country.
According to the notification, the fund would mobilise resources and pro-actively rendering a helping hand in the relief efforts to the people affected by the floods. The proceeds on account of 'Prime Ministers Relief Fund 2010' and payments into the aforesaid Fund would be received at all branches of State Bank of Pakistan, all treasuries/branches of National Bank of Pakistan and all other scheduled banks.
The Fund may receive donations from both domestic, international donors and contributions from abroad, which will be received at all the branches of above referred banks. In other foreign countries contributions will be received at Pakistan missions and remitted to State Bank of Pakistan.
All proceeds received in the name of the Fund will be credited to the public account of the federal government under following heads of account:
-- G12-Special Deposit Fund:
-- G121-Relief Fund:
-- G12140-Prime Ministers Flood Relief Fund -2010.
The Prime Minister has directed that all members of the Federal Cabinet including the Prime Minister will contribute their one month's salary while all officers in BS-17 and above will contribute their one day salary in the Flood Relief Fund.
The Accounts of Fund will be maintained by the Account General of Pakistan Revenue (AGPR) Islamabad. The Fund will be administered by the federal government and the expenditure from this fund will be incurred under authorisation to be made by the Cabinet Division in consultation with the Finance Division. Guide lines will be issued by the Cabinet Division accordingly, the notification said. -PR
