Train service between Quetta and rest of the country has come to a complete halt as flash flood has damaged branch line near Sukkur. The trains coming from Quetta and the same going towards Balochistan have been stopped as various stations because of damaged tracks.
According to the sources the high flood coming from Beghari canal has washed a portion of the railway line between Sukkur and Jacobabad causing the disruption of train service to Quetta.
The trains like Jafar Express, which runs between Rawalpindi and Quetta stopped at various stations after the incident. However, the sources said that the railway administration has sent a special train to the affected area. The technical teams of Pakistan Railways were striving hard to repair the portion of railway track.
The fresh rains and flood have disrupted rail services and as a result, Quetta bound trains were halted at Jacobabad while trains from Quetta to other parts of the country have also been stopped at Quetta railway station.
