The welfare activities of Red Crescent Society (RCS) would be made more organised and vibrant for extending the support to the poor masses. This was stated by DCO/Chairman Naseem Sadiq while chairing a meeting of executive committee of District Red Crescent Society at Maternity Hospital on Monday.
Reviewing the performance of maternity hospital being run by the Red Crescent Society, the DCO said that quality and advance medical facilities should be provided for the better treatment of child and mother. The DCO said that special fund raising campaign would be launched for generating financial resources to run the Red Crescent activities in an effective manner. He said that the dispensaries of RCS would be further improved for providing the medical facilities to the adjoining rural population.
The DCO directed that all the administrative and financial affairs of RCS should be kept transparent and the welfare projects being run by this society should properly be supervised for the welfare of beneficiaries. The matter related to starting the pediatric ward and making the maternity hospital services more beneficial came under discussion during the meeting.
