Sindh assembly, cabinet members to donate one-month salaries

Sindh government has decided that all members of Sindh Assembly (MPAs), provincial cabinet members including special assistants to chief minister and government employees from BS-I to BS-22 (both provincial and district), will contribute in Sindh Flood Relief Fund.
In this regard, ministers/advisors/special assistants and MPAs will contribute their one-month pay. The provincial and district governments employees from BS-17 to 22 will contribute five-day pay while provincial and district government employees from BS-I to 16, will contribute their one-day pay, said a statement issued here on Monday.
The deduction on account of their contributions shall be made at-source from their salaries for the month of August 2010 payable on September 1, 2010 in advance. This decision shall also apply to the government employees holding posts on contract basis, including managerial posts and employees of autonomous/semi autonomous bodies of Sindh government.
The Accountant General Sindh/All District Accounts Officers and Principal Accounting Officers/ Administrative Departments have been requested to make the above deductions by August 9, 2010 and credit the same to "Sindh Flood Relief Fund" PLS A/c No 6720-5, in National Bank of Pakistan, Sindh Secretariat Branch, Karachi.
