Punjab Finance Minister Tanvir Ashraf Kaira visited on Tuesday various flood affected areas of Muzaffargarh and distributed relief goods among flood stricken people. According to a Ministry's spokesman, while talking to the affected people, the minister said immediate provision of relief goods to them is his top priority and all efforts should be diverted to relief work rather playing politics on flood.
"The government is trying hard to provide basic necessities to affected people on war footing, but I personally believe that international donor agencies and the whole world should come forward in aid of flood victims," he added. He also appealed to the nation to donate generously for flood victims, since they are in dire need of our help. "Co-ordinated efforts could also minimise their sufferings," he added.
