LHC allows minor girl to go with parents

Chief Justice (CJ) Lahore High Court here on Tuesday allowed a minor girl, who was kidnapped nine months ago, to go with her parents. On Tuesday, Police produced her 14-year-old Humera before court and she stated that she was kidnapped nine months ago. She had married with Shahzad but desired to go with her parents, present in the court.
CJ Khawaja Muhammad Sharif disposed the writ petition filed by mother of girl, Irshad Bibi. On previous hearing CJ had ordered police to produce girl in court. Counsel for petitioner told the court that girl had been recovered and she had recorded her statement under section 164 CrPC before a judicial magistrate. In her statement, she said that she had married with one Shahzad and wanted to live with him for rest of her life. The magistrate had allowed her to live with her husband.
Earlier, CJ had taken suo motu notice of girl's kidnapping and disposed of it as police had failed to recover the girl. Irshad Bibi had said that her 14-year-old daughter Humera was abducted on October 10, 2009 and a FIR under section 365-B PPC was lodged against the accused at police station Kukrali, Gujrat.
