The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) on Tuesday announced the result of annual exams of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part-I, declaring the pass percentage of 52.58 According to a news release, out of 47495 students, who appeared in the exams, 24973 passed. Of total 45092 regular candidates, 24312 were passed against 661 private candidates of total 2403.
In Pre-Engineering group, 7925 regular students passed out of 13073 who appeared in the annual exam. In Science group, 9028 candidates appeared and 3584 managed to pass the exam. In Pre-Medical group, 5669 candidates passed out the 8721 appeared in the exams and the overall pass percentage of the group was 65.00.
Some 8661 candidates appeared under the Humanities group and 4356 passed the exam as a whole, while 2688 passed out of 5376 appeared in the Commerce group. In Med. Tech. group, 233 candidates appeared and only 90 managed to pass the exam. In Humanities group, 1634 ex/private candidates appeared and 453 passed the exam. While 205 students passed the exam out of 749 candidates appeared under Commerce group.
The overall pass percentage of regular and Ex/Private students was 53.92 and 27.51, respectively. The result cards of regular candidates are being dispatched through their respective institutions and to ex/private candidates on their given addresses. According to a notification issued by the FBISE, 08 unfair means cases were reported this year and all the cases have been decided.
