SSGC deploys teams to monitor flood situation

Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has deployed special vigilant teams to monitor the situation in the flood-affected areas for ensuring uninterrupted supply of natural gas to all its customers. The worst floods in the history of Pakistan have brought along mass destruction and played havoc with human lives and properties.
These unprecedented floods recently entered the province of Sindh resulting in submerging of many towns and villages in the districts adjacent to River Indus. According to a press release issued here on Wednesday, SSGC as a responsible corporate citizen is fully aware of its duties and the company's management has instantly deployed special vigilant teams to monitor the situation in the flood-affected areas for ensuring uninterrupted supply of natural gas to all its customers.
As a precautionary measure the company intends to reduce the gas pressure, in case the situation gets worse and moreover in the severely affected areas where the building structures are collapsing the gas supplies may be curtailed on temporary basis. The areas in which gas distribution systems have been badly affected include Khandhkot and Ghouspur Towns and their en-route villages in District Kashmore, Hamayoon / Jagan and its en-route villages and Mian Jo Goth in District Shikarpur, whereas in District Jacobabad, Mubarakpur and Mirpur Buriro villages and Thul town with its en-route villages are the affected places.
The company would like to pledge all its valuable customers of it utmost support at all times with an assurance that gas supplies will be fully restored as soon as the on-ground situation improves and meanwhile company's vigilant teams are surveying the affected areas for assessing the damage. Customers can approach their nearest SSGC office for registering complaints for a prompt relief. The company would also like to regret the inconvenience caused in the temporary curtailment of gas supply.-PR
