12 Aug, 2010

BASF's flood-relief operations continue in Pakistan, extending a helping hand to victims affected by the worst floods Pakistan has witnessed in decades. Individual BASF employees have supported the company's internal flood-relief committee, generously donating food, medicines and utensils for the relief packets prepared for distribution.
The company has also contributed PKR 2 million towards immediate flood-relief and rehabilitation activities. "We are deeply saddened by the unfortunate loss of lives and heavy destruction of public and private property, caused by the nation-wide flood situation", said Qazi Sajid All, Managing Director, BASF Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd. "Those affected urgently need emergency aid, especially food, clean drinking water, tents and medical services. BASF, in its own capacity, has tried to extend support through the relief efforts and is continuing to rush relief to the flood victims through the efforts of its employees," he added.-PR
