Mirpur Burro, Thul inundated

Flood water has entered the districts of Mirpur Burro and Thul after a breach in the PF Feeder of River Indus. Emergency has been declared while thousands of the affected people have come out of the city on the highway. The people are complaining of excessive fares being charged by the transporters. The breach in Baigari Canal has been repaired after which train service has also been restored.
Apart from the government, a number of NGOs are providing food and water to the affected people. Meanwhile, three flood-affected persons who took refuge along the bypass were killed and nine others injured on Tuesday night when a speeding tractor crushed them while they were asleep. In another incident, one Anwar Khoso drowned in village Abdul Haq Brohi.
