Federal Minister for Commerce, Makhdoom M Amin Fahim has visited various areas of Sindh and reviewed the arrangements made to cope with any eventuality of the flood. The Minister visited the protective bunds in Saeedabad, Hala Old and Khanot and met with the people residing in this flood zone.
He inquired about their problems and assured them that no stone will be left unturned to save their lives and properties in this hour of danger. Various senior officers of the local administration were also accompanying the Federal Minister during his visit. He emphasised upon them to ensure that no lapse is occurred in the flood relief and rescue operation. He strictly directed the local administration to take proper care of the people, particularly those shifted from "Katcha Areas" and make sure that no problem is faced by them.
Later, the Minister visited the residence of Ex-Minister Haji Jalal Shah at Matiari and met there with the elders of the area. He stressed upon them to play their due role in this hour of need. He also called upon the charitable and well off segments of the area to come forward and generously donate for the help and rehabilitation of flood affected people. He also directed the followers of his Sarwari Jamaat to extend their full co-operation to the local administration and Government functionaries/volunteers engaged there in the flood relief activities.
He assigned them the duty to keep close liaison with these people and ensure smooth access of relief funds/goods to the affected people. On this occasion, Amin Fahim announced that he will not leave the people alone in this difficult time and will remain present amongst them till the situation normalises, to personally monitor the relief and rescue activities. He nominated Haji Abdul Razzaq Memon as Co-ordinator for Tehsil Matiari to monitor the flood relief and rescue operation and keep him apprised about the updates of every moment.-PR
