Meteorological department has said that monsoon currents are penetrating in upper parts of Pakistan that would cause more monsoon rains over upper parts of the country during next three days as: Azad Jammu & Kashmir: Widespread rain/thundershowers (heavy at times) expected in Kashmir from Friday to Sunday, becoming scattered from Monday. Heavy rainfall may cause flash flooding in local rivers/ravines during the period.
Punjab: Rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy falls expected over upper and eastern parts of Punjab (Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Bahawalpur divisions) from Friday to Sunday.
Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa: Rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy falls expected over Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa (D.I.Khan, Bannu, Kohat, Peshawar, Hazara, Mardan and Malakand divisions) from Friday to Sunday. Heavy rainfall may cause flash flooding in local rivers/ravines during the period.
Sindh: Mainly dry with hot and humid conditions during next 3 days. However isolated rain/thundershowers expected over south-east Sindh (Tharparkar, Umer Kot and Badin districts) on Friday/Saturday. Balochistan: Mainly hot and dry weather conditions during next 3 days. Islamabad: Occasional rain/thundershowers (heavy at times) expected from Friday to Sunday. Gilgit-Baltistan: Scattered rain expected from Friday to Sunday.
