The month, full of blessings and mercy of the Almighty, has once again been bestowed upon us. We've once more been given the opportunity to correct ourselves, shun wrong practices and make a fresh start. In this regard, why should not we begin with developing a code of conduct and abide by it, not only in this holy month but even after it?
This code of conduct may comprise the following rules: Let us collectively repent, let all of us repent. Sign undertaking than we, as a nation, will shun all the wrong practices in order to establish discipline, rule of law and harmony in our country.
Promise to ourselves that we will eradicate corruption, mismanagement and chaos-like situation from our society. Replace current rulers with God-fearing, honest, and determined men. Remove obscene, suggestive and vulgar, giant billboards from around the cities.
Develop a code of conduct, in the light of the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah, for advertisements, dramas ~nd stage shows broadcast by our TV channels and newspapers. Establish and encourage Taqwa (fear of Allah) and set parameters accordingly in our homes, educational institutes, workplaces and social circles.
