Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 96,632 tonnes of cargo including 55,702 tonnes of import cargo, 40,930 tonnes of export cargo, 3,023 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 55,702 tonnes comprised of 11,348 tonnes of containerised cargo; 21,141 tonnes of bulk cargo and 23,213 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 40,930 tonnes comprised of 25,863 tonnes of containerised cargo; 65 tonnes of general cargo; 11,502 tonnes of bulk cargo and 3,500 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Nine ships namely Gulf Pearl, Atlantic Breeze, Yang Hai, Jakarta Express, MPP Arrow, Topaz-II, Zenobia, Hanjin Buenos Aries and Nordwelle sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Six vessels viz Sima Sahba, Africa Kooaburra, Concord, EMA Querida, Fertility and Chem Bridge are currently at the berths. Five ships namely CSL Ride, Moon Light, Chem Bridge, Sima Sahba and EMA Querida expected to sail on Friday, while another vessel viz Masar Trade expected to sail on Saturday. Four vessels viz Torm Venture, Kariratach Dignity, Tug Thunder and Pacific Express due to arrive on Friday, while six ships namely YM America, MOL Success, TS Dubai, Kota Anggerik, Hansa Stavanger and Calmy Coral are due to arrive on Saturday.

Five vessels viz MT Sigloo Toro, CV CMA CGM Jamaica, CV Lobivia, CV Libra Apaname and MT Sea Sky sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another vessel viz CV APL Chile is expected to sail on Friday.
A total number of ten ships namely CV Lobivia, CV APL Chile, CV Libra Apaname, CV Zhen Hua, MV Rana, MV Al-Kawther, MV Amira's, MV Lady Nariman, MT Bunga Allium, MT Sea Sky and MV Beilun Whale are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, sugar, palm oil, furnace oil and coal respectively during last 24 hours.
Seven vessels viz Maersk Jurong, Eddy Stone, Norasia Alps, FR-8 Regina Mar, Al-Soor-II, Notowati and Alexi-1 carrying containers, diesel oil, chemicals and cement are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of three ships namely CV HS Beethoven, CV Maersk Jurong and MT Sichem Edin Burgh carrying containers and chemicals are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Friday.
Three ships namely MT Sichem Defender, MT Pertiwi and MT EMA Querida with acetic acid, phosphoric acid and palm oil due to arrive on Friday. A container ship namely CV Buxhill due to arrive on Saturday, while another container ship namely CV Maersk Missouri is due to arrive on Sunday.
