Kashmiris living either side of the line of control on Saturday observed the 64th Independence Day of Pakistan with simplicity but in dignified manner. Following the terrible catastrophe of floods and torrential rains that hit various parts of Pakistan and AJK.
The people dwelling either side of the line of control celebrated the Independence Day of Pakistan in simple manner but with the renewal of the pledge to continue the ongoing struggle for the freedom of occupied valley from the Indian yoke.
The day dawned with special prayers in the mosques in both parts of the Jammu & Kashmir state - AJK and IHK for the stability, prosperity, security and speedy progress of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and for the early success of the Kashmiris indigenous struggle of liberation in the occupied territory from the long Indian subjugation.
The National flag hoisting ceremonies, rallies, processions and the colourful functions were postponed in wake of the natural calamity that hit many parts of Pakistan and AJK. In view of the huge national loss caused by the devastating floods triggered by heavy monsoon rains, all the money reserved for these ceremonies, were diverted to the relief funds established by the government and the semi government institutions and social welfare organisations.
