Indus in super flood at Guddu, Sukkur barrages

River Indus at Guddu and Sukkur barrages is flowing in the Super Flood and it would remain the same at these stations during upcoming 24 hours, irrigation officials said on Friday. They said the river at Guddu barrage is in super flood where the inflow is recorded at 9,46,718 cusecs while the outflow at 9,45,178 cusecs.
"The river Indus at Sukkur barrage is also flowing in super flood with inflow at 9,90,535 cusecs and outflow at 9,54,550 cusesc", the officials added. They said the River Indus is flowing in high flood at Kotri Barrage and it would be in very high flood during next 24 hours, adding that strict vigilance is being carried out round the clock along the bunds.
Staff reporter from Lahore adds: According to FFD report, River Indus at Chashma (428,600 cusecs) River Kabul at Nowshera (90,000 cusecs) are in medium flood. River Indus at Tarbela (345,000 cusecs) Kalabagh (374,000 cusecs) River Jhelum at Mangla, (86,800 cusecs) River Chenab at Marala, (107,000 cusecs) Khanki, (102,000 cusecs) Trimmu (159,000 cusecs) & Panjnad (192,000 cusecs) are in low flood.
