Head of National Bank, Hyderabad region Tariq Latif Ansari has appealed individuals, philanthropists and organisations to come forward and contribute in Prime Minister's Flood Relief Fund, established for the rehabilitation of flood-displaced people.
This he appealed while distributing relief goods worth Rs 0.3 million on behalf of President National Bank of Pakistan, Syed Ali Raza Shah at the relief camp Ganjo Takar, Latifabad, on Friday. Talking on the occasion, Ansari said Pakistan was passing through a crucial period, especially due to the flood devastation, which caused displacement of hundreds and thousands of people.
He said that those who have been displaced, and are in difficulties, were our brothers and sisters and we must take care of them and bring them out from the crises. He appealed to philanthropists, NGOs and other sister organisations to come forward and help the poor and flood-hit people.
He said his organisation National Bank of Pakistan has started to participate in the relief works, adding that today, relief goods worth Rs 0.3 million were distributed among the flood affectees, while another instalment of relief goods up to Rs 3.2 million would be distributed within the shortest possible time. General Manager Operation, Mohammad Arshad Qaimkhani, Mohammad Anwar Qureshi, Aamir Bashir Almani, Syed Ali Raza, Riaz Gul and Mohammad Parwaiz were also present on the occasion.
