President of Khwahish-e-Zeest, Syed Salman Gilani has expressed concerns over the devastating impact of flood and urged the affluent Pakistanis to contribute heavily for the rehabilitation of flood-affected people. He was addressing members of Khawhish-e-Zeest (desire for life) on Friday.
Gilani deplored that the floods have pushed country decades back in terms of development. While commenting on the scenario, he referred to the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's statement that these recent floods have been more destructive than Tsunami. He assured the homeless people of every possible help from Khawhish-e-Zeest's platform. He said this disaster is even bigger than 2005 earthquake and urged the nation to show the spirit that showed during 2005 earthquake.
