PUTA dispatches medical teams to flood-hit areas

Peshawar University Teachers Association (PUTA) and Patients Welfare Society, Social Welfare Society, Khyber Medical College, Peshawar and Pakistan Pediatric Association have dispatched a joint medical team to flood hit areas for provision of medical assistance.
The team would provide free medical check-up and medicines to flood victims in district Charsadda and Nowshera. More than 20, 000 patients have been examined through different medical camps set-up in flood-hit districts. It has worth to mention here Peshawar University Teachers Association (PUTA) has distributed Rs 10 million food and non-food items so far amongst flood victims.
General Secretary, PUTA Dr Mohammad Tayyab said that the teaching community would continue relief operation in flood affected of the province. He said the PUTA had launched its relief activities from 31 July, through which provided food and medical assistance for flood victims. He further said that PUTA has been distributed 300 food packets, containing on sugar, rice and other food items.
