Participating in relief efforts: Sindh University to remain closed for three days

The faculty, employees and students of University of Sindh have decided to serve the nation at the time of crises - the unprecedented floods. Keeping in view the situation in Sindh, especially in Jamshoro and Hyderabad, it has been decided to close the varsity for three days, from August 23 to 25, 2010, in order to serve the nation at this critical hour.
Varsity authorities issued a notification in this regard on Friday, which said that Sindh University Flood Relief Committee, formed by varsity authorities, has been assigned the task to render services for the flood-affected people of Sindh. Interested persons, including the varsity community members, have been urged to contact Professor Dr Qamar Jahan Mirza (cell no 0333-2780284) for donation and help to make the humanitarian efforts successful.
