Price of white refined sugar surged to Rs 76 per-kg with a fresh increase of Re 1 on the retail market, traders said on Saturday. According to retailers, sugar price reached Rs 74-kg on the wholesale market rising by Rs 1.5. However, reasons behind the recent increase, they said, could not be known yet.
