The Turkish military Saturday sent a cargo plane to Pakistan to help transport aid within the flood-stricken country. "The plane will stay at the disposal of friendly Pakistan as long as it is needed," an army statement said, adding that the aircraft was loaded with medical supplies when it flew to Pakistan earlier in the day.
Turkey has also extended 10 million dollars (7.8 million euros) in financial aid and 140 tonnes of relief supplies to help the 20 million people hit by Pakistan's worst-ever natural disaster.
