Karachiites continue to suffer prolonged power outages as Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has failed to give relief in the holy month of Ramazan. The people in some parts of the city even faced more than 8 hours of power breakdowns because of different faults, which remain unresolved for many hours.
This was the second time that people of these areas faced the prolonged power outages due to the fault occurred in the company's Johar grid station. Many parts of Gulistan-e-Johar including Mosmiat, Pelwan Goth, Safoora Goth, Suchal Goth, Johar Mor faced outages from 10am to 5pm.
The Mangopir Area, Qasba Colony and some parts of North Nazimabad also faced electricity breakdown for over 24 hours as the faults in respective areas could not be removed due to bad law and order situation in the city.
The residents of Malir Model Colony complained that the whole area faced power outages even during Sehri time on Saturday causing immense problems for the masses. However, the official sources in KESC claimed that most of the cases of power outages were due to technical faults.
