MQM chief's appeal to army

24 Aug, 2010

Addressing a general workers convention at Lal Qila ground, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain called upon patriotic generals to take action against corrupt politicians and to end the feudalism in the country. He is not the first politician, who has asked the army to help contain or eliminate corruption.
Nawaz Sharif government had handed over Wapda to army with a view to eliminating corruption and theft of electricity. The move was also aimed at recovery of billions of rupees outstanding against the influential persons. Every thoughtful Pakistani knows that Pakistan Army is the only institution that has the capacity and force to uproot the feudal system and also change foreign policy in the interest of the country.
