Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 118,784 tonnes of cargo including 86,358 tonnes of import cargo, 32,426 tonnes of export cargo, 6,519 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday.
The total import cargo of 86,358 tonnes comprised of 31,397 tonnes of containerised cargo; 4,450 tonnes of general cargo; 25,987 tonnes of bulk cargo: 20,457 tonnes of coal; 1,562 tonnes of oil cake; 924 tonnes of TSP; 3,044 tonnes of MAP and 24,524 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. The total export cargo of 32,426 tonnes comprised of 25,454 tonnes of containerised cargo; 90 tonnes of general cargo and 6,882 tonnes of cement.
Four ships namely Samin-1, Al-Wajba, Violetta and Courier sailed out to sea during the reported period. Six vessels viz Kota Singa, APL Agate, Fatima-1, Kota Arif, Stolt Megami and Glory River are currently at the berths. One ship namely Stolt Megami expected to sail on Wednesday, while five vessels viz Yong Sheng, Yong Ping-5, Red Sea Spirit, Mare Dore and Saigon Express are expected to sail on Thursday.
Six vessels viz Saigon Express, Thana Bhum, Alliance Beaumont, Ocean Host, Saeed and Ocean project due to arrive on Wednesday, while seven ships namely MT Swat, Samho Leader, North Pole, Uni Aspire, Mare Gallicum, Resolve and Condor are due to arrive on Thursday.

The total import cargo of 27,007 tonnes includes 4,447 tonnes of coal and 22,560 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 16,377 tonnes includes 2,169 tonnes of cement and 14,208 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Three vessels viz CV MSC America, CV Zhen Hua and MV Rana sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship namely CV CMA CGM Mozart is expected to sail on Wednesday afternoon. A total number of five ships namely CV MSC America, CV CMA CGM Mozart, Alexi-1, MV Zenobia and MV SV Mat Vey are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice and coal respectively during last 24 hours.
Five vessels viz Kalimantan, Sea Lion, Al-Salam-II, Captain Said and Green Line carrying palm oil, diesel oil and cement are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of five ships namely CV ACX Hibiscus, CV CMA CGM Azure, MV Captain Said, MT Sea Lion and MT Kalimantan scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, diesel oil and palm oil are expected to take berth at Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal (MW-2), FOTCO Oil Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Two container vessels viz CV CMA CGM Puget and CV City of Guangzhou are due to arrive on Thursday. A total number of four container vessels viz Maersk Jurong, Maersk Montana, RHL Fiducia and MSC Namibia are also due to arrive.
